Early sunsets and late sunrises make for moody days in September.
And the slugs were out
The temperature dipped
The clouds rolled in
The rain came
The mist clung low to the mountains
And the slugs were out
The leaves turned and fell
Covering the paths
And sidewalks
And lawns
And the slugs were out
The smell of decay
The shortening of the day
The slowing of life
Preparing for a winter’s slumber
And the slugs were out
Early September Autumn Vibes
The crisp morning air. The sunlit fog. I just love this time of year!
Changes at Tollgate
I haven’t been walking as much the past couple months and so of course things have been changing at the park. The big change is the bulldozing of the field. For what purpose I have no idea.
And the leaves are starting to fall (already?)
And local flora and fauna
Can you see the snake above?
Here’s the view from the top of the new connecting trail from Tollgate to The Snoqualmie Trail.
And tomorrow is our last day before leaving for Vietnam and Japan!
